Per Egil Ramsøy

Born in Fredrikstad , Norway, 1960.

Although formally educated within computing, marketing, economics and restaurant management, he has always enjoyed painting, and started with his first paintings in 1982.

Since 1999 he has worked together with fellow Norwegian, designer Øyvind Gundersen.

In 2001 they moved to Gran Canaria, and he started to dedicate more time to his painting.

2003 he attended art classes with Norwegian artist Knut Dahl at Anfi del mar, and started painting full time.

Since 2004- 2007 he has been a student of German painter Eva Traumann, San Fernando.

In 2006 he opened his workshop in C.C. Botanico, San Fernando.

In 2008 he took classes with ceramist Hilde Knutsen to learn making of moulds, different burning techniques and design.
